Welcome

We look forward to your participation on the Holy Days for 2013 (Hebrew Calendar year 5774.) The following PDF files contain our schedule of services and related events, ticket prices, and other information.

Schedule     Order Form     Letter from the Rabbi     Preview of Fall, 2013 programs

We are planning a full complement of services on both Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, conducted by Rabbi Jill Hausman, with cantorial intern Aron Bederson assisting. Music will be provided by pianist, James Besser, and violinist Marina Kifferstein on Kol Nidre. On the second morning of Rosh Hashanah we will again have a Creative Service. Please email Rabbi Jill to participate and lend your talents.

There is a free Community Service on the second night of Rosh Hashanah, which welcomes everyone. Tashlich is celebrated after the service on the Second Day of Rosh Hashanah. For those wishing to stay at the Temple all day on Yom Kippur, the synagogue will remain open and there will be a study session. A children’s program, including children’s services, are planned on both days of Rosh Hashanah and on Yom Kippur, in the mornings.

Since our dues are extremely low, we do ask for our members and friends to purchase Holy Days tickets. Tickets are $150 for members and $250 for non-members. We have one of the lowest ticket prices in New York. All ticket prices include the Break-Fast. No one is ever turned away because of financial need.

If you are not yet a member of the Actors’ Temple, but would like to become one, we welcome you! We are offering High Holiday tickets at member prices if you sign up and pay your membership dues of only $75 for individuals or $150 for families.

PLEASE NOTE:

There are many volunteer opportunities at the Temple for the High Holidays.  We appreciate all who would like to volunteer as ushers in the sanctuary, or to set up or clean up the Break-Fast or a Kiddush after the service.  Please indicate how you would like to help on our reservation form, or call the office, 212-245-6975, or e-mail info@theactorstemple.org, to volunteer.

We look forward to seeing all of you

as we embark on a new and meaningful year together.
