A Post-Denominational Service

Actors' Temple uses the recent Siddur Sim Shalom for Shabbat and Festivals published in 1998. We do a Reform style service from this Conservative prayerbook, with a little Chasidic wisdom for warmth and spirituality.

We also provide our own custom-made handouts for both the evening and morning Shabbat services, which contain transliterations of the Hebrew texts.

Shabbat Across America and Canada

We, at The Actors’ Temple, invite you to join us and thousands of Jews who come together to eat, drink, relax, sing, dance, enjoy, debate, and celebrate at the annual Shabbat Across America and Canada .

Please join us for a Dairy Potluck Shabbat Dinner and Learner’s Service . Please bring food (dairy/fish/vegetables) to share, following by a Shabbat Service, conducted by Rabbi Jill Hausman. Come learn all about the service and prayers. Stay for dessert, and socializing. Food for body and soul!

Early to mid March time frame, before or after Purim , depending on the year.
